well this is a record for me 2 posts in the same day. I'm getting frustrated with Initial and I'm calling today to demand my 4 days off and I'm going to quote Alberta Law to them. They can't make we work past 24 consecutive days. They have to give me 4 days off. If they get someone today I'll come in tonight to train them but that's about it. I've had it. It's starting to interfere with my relationship and I can't have that. If I was working days or shift work it wouldn't be so bad. but working 24 nights in a row sucks monkey bum.

Melissa's mom mentioned a job yesterday when I was there I gotta ask her or Melissa about it again. I've had enough waiting for Graham to call. it's been since I first got here. I was told the need of this month well guess what it's the last week of this month and I'm still working for Initial, far longer than I thought I was going to be working 4 them that's for sure.

It's really getting on my nerves. So I'm going to call graham tonight and ask him to call me in the next couple of days. I need an answer and a time frame. course I was given a time frame before and look how that turned out. *sigh* These are the frustrations of life.

anyway that's enough for now.

if you guys have any questions please write me and email

I have a beef.

What is that Beef? Well First of all I'm sorry if I offend you  with what I am about to say but hey, deal with it it's how I see things. This has to do with elections and in particular this upcoming one well today as it's 12:42 at the time of this writing.

Recently I did a poll of my friends and you know what? the NDP and the Conservatives (I'll use CP from now on) were tied. While I'm glad to see that people realize that The liberals need to go I find it intriguing that the only ones who voted CP were "Christian" and the main reason they voted this way was because they are pro-life and pro-traditional marriage.

I'll state it now so you don't get me wrong I am not against those positions I agree with them to an extent.

I'll continue with my former thought now. I do not understand how one can make a decision for or against a party based on those 2 issues. As I see our Nation it is a secular nation, while yes in the glory days it was essentially a "Christian" nation it is that no longer. If the nation is no longer a Christian nation(spiritual yes, Christian no) why should a political party be judged based on Christian morals.

My question is what happens when homosexual marriage becomes a reality? Will Christians continue to show hate towards this group of people or embrace them as Jesus would. By embrace I mean accepting them as people and not trying to change them because we may think they are wrong.

Which party will you vote for when abortion and homosexuality are non issues? well actually abortion is a non issue. it's already lawful. I'm not saying I accept it because I do not. I think it's a destruction of life. I think it's playing God. But that doesn't change the fact that the laws are not going to change, unless the entire nation becomes Christian, or at least 50% of it.

People have problem with homosexuals because it's a hot topic, it wasn't all that long ago when women and African-Canadian/Americans (dunno if that PC the term changes to much) were second class citizens and the hot topic between Christians.

What about hermaphroditic? What about people who undergo sex change operations (if someone was once a man and becomes a woman, marries a man does that make him gay)?

My point is in all this to ask you to think about politics and view the world outside those 2 issue when voting. Fully engage your mind don't just vote for the "Christian" party because they are "Christian"

FORWARD-IT EMAILS!!!! ARGH

I have a massive beef ... about mass emails. I hate it when people send things on without checking facts first. The latest one I received was concerning a phone scam using 90#. Anyway I did a simple search on Google and there were numerous web pages de-bunking it well partially anyways. It only applies to business who use an internal switchboard system and use '9' to get an outside line. so therefore most people have nothing to worry about. another one I've gotten a lot is about MSN shutting down you account, or having to pay for the services, which Microsoft denounces wholeheartedly. Another one was about Billy graham spear- heading a movement against a bill trying to shut down Christian broadcasting, which graham's own website deny's.

I know I may sound a bit hypocritical as I've done the same thing on a few occasions. actually I used to mass email a lot. till it started happening to me a couple years ago. I finally got fed up with it so I stopped reading these emails and forwarding them, aside from the occasional joke.

as for these 'do or die' emails, well I started checking on them and well I used to get so pissed by it that I would hit 'reply all' and kindly inform everyone of the folly of such messages. . I've since stopped such practices. and instead ignore  these forwarded messages. I still read them and look them up but I'm getting to the point were I'm not going to read them anymore b/c well I don't read junk mail I get in my actual mail box so why would I read this trash.

Anyways I said all that to say this ... check email facts before forwarding them the vast majority of the time it's not true and well it's just damned annoying having an email box full of crap like that. a simple Google search usually provide great results

Now if only stopping the emails I get for male enhancement and porn would stop I would be happy. heck I might even keep my Hotmail account.

BTW I am planing on switching from Hotmail to gmail (winsor.ashley@gmail.com) I'm just not sure when. I have so many things attached to that account.

Well looks like we have a Conservative government. And well all fears aside, cause really with a minority government it's going to be hard to screw-up. It's better than another liberal government I just hope that we aren't in this position again in 18 months. I think i've expressed enough of my political views. So on that note...

Initial has given me time off. WOOHOO!! as of the end of this shift i'll be off for 6 days. About time i'd say i just hope i don't have to wait another 25 days before i get my next bit of time off. Of course i'm hoping that i'll have a new job long before that happens too. Lord knows I need it. And well it'll give me and Melissa time to be together and talk about things that we need to talk about.

*Sigh* Time off tis a good thing. Maybe I'll actually get one of my model cars done

Well here it is a few short days after Christmas and a couple before  new years one more day off and then back to work on friday evening. this night shift thing is really messing with my system. the last 2 days I could not sleep at night. it sucked royally. oh well. I will be sleeping soon enough that's for sure.

Christmas was good, Melissa stayed over here for that night which was nice. I think her family was kinda shocked by it though. they waited for us to come over @ 9:30 before they commenced their Christmas celebrations. I think it's funny that they are acting this way considering next year we will probably be married and have our own place to do our own Christmas and then visit them in the afternoon same with my family.

I think Melissa's family has finally come to realize that I'm not going anywhere and accepted that I am going to be part of the family. we've even started buying things for our place when we get one. well really it'll be stuff that I'll use when I get a place come the new year just that we'll add onto it. life ... it's so much fun.

I just hope I get this job as a scaffolder. it's a lot of money. enough that we could probably pay off our loans and such in a couple years which is what I want and why I am here in fort mac. yes Melissa has something to do with it but being able to pay off my loans in a couple years is a great thought and surely a pleasant one.

well I think that's it for me I'm getting really tired. talk to y'all later
